Iseya Mikawashima
伊勢屋 三河島店
At Iseya Mikawashima, visitors can pick up down-to-earth wagashi to take home, from mitarashi dango grilled to order and freshly filled monaka to local character-stamped dorayaki.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Located in Arakawa 3-chome, Iseya Mikawashima offers straightforward, comforting wagashi for takeaway. The glazed mitarashi dango are grilled to order right on the spot, making them wonderful to enjoy while still warm. Crisp wafer monaka are also stuffed with sweet bean paste only after you order, preserving the fresh texture of the shells.
The counter features dorayaki pancakes emblazoned with Arabo, the local Arakawa mascot, alongside seasonal treats like traditional sakura mochi and translucent mizu manju. A hearty selection of everyday snacks rounds out the offerings, including firm koshian-filled doughnuts rolled generously in granulated sugar, as well as inari sushi for a quick bite.
The shop operates Monday through Saturday from 9:00 in the morning until 13:30, closing on Sundays. It fits naturally into midday shopping trips or souvenir runs. Quick cashless payments can be made via PayPay, making it a convenient pit stop whenever you want a short break during the day.
